Biome Eco Stores

Biome Eco Stores is a retailer of ethically-focussed, environmental products. Working as their in-house designer, I creatively directed and produced all visual touchpoints including editorial, packaging, social media campaigns, signage, print collateral and digital assets. In line with refining their value proposition, I managed a brand audit and full brand refresh to transform their heavily embellished and cottage-y identity to one that was clean, authentic and matched their change-maker status.

Skincare Range

After many years of being an authority on natural beauty, Biome created its first range of clean beauty that required its own labelling and identity system. Reflecting the purity of ingredients, a minimal apothecary-style aesthetic was established for a luxe but accessible vibe. Cool-toned colours reflect the rebrand with a Spot UV used to provide additional on-shelf appeal.

The Whole Story Magazine

Parallel with Biome’s customers’ love of information and transparency, the business created an inhouse print magazine that showcased helpful environmental content such as DIYs, insightful articles and of course, product showcases. I created a simple, vibrant layout that is able to ground future editions as well as increase readability for the large amount of word-heavy articles.

Plastic Free July

For the annual Plastic Free July campaign, Biome created a #biomepledge to encourage consumers to focus on reducing a specific plastic product. The campaign visuals combined contemporary activism with heart-centred, warm and community-positive visuals. Collateral such as animated digital-marketing elements, a Pinterest infographic and bold signage helped build momentum with laser-cut props encouraging customers to become involved instore.

Varied Social Media Campaigns

In line with cultural, community and retail events, I created campaign imagery that functioned as distinct sub-brands while remaining consistent with Biome’s overarching visual approach. Featuring texture-heavy illustrations, hand-lettering and implementation of natural photography, campaign artwork ensured Biome stood out from competitors while being aligned with their audience’s values.
