Brand identity collage using vintage illustrations showing two birds on scientific equipment

Damn Write

The perfect fusion between personality and strategy, Ami Williamson is an e-commerce copywriter who needed a brand identity that matched her ‘slightly evil genius’ soul.

Having felt she’d outgrown her existing branding, I created a vintage-inspired system that combines Ami’s quirky tone with imagery that conveys her analytical expertise. The logotype is stripped back with a calligraphic feel; the lightning icon symbolising the spark of inspiration that Ami brings to her work. The star of the rebrand are a suite of intriguing collage assemblages that convey Ami’s status as a transformative alchemist- she brings disparate worlds together into copy that is unique, strategic and impactful. Alongside complex hero collages and more simplified supporting graphics, I also created a suite of vintage background patterns that allow Ami to have flexibility in creating her own content.

The rebrand has been a HUGE hit. I’ve had A LOT of people reach out about it… a few weeks in and I still get random emails or DMs or Slack messages professing love for it. I’m getting higher quality enquiries from bigger companies that place a higher value on copy. One of the best investments I’ve ever made in my business. My daily website views has increased (2-3x), and I think it’s because people just want to look at it all in detail.
